Anđelka Rogač was born in 1990 in Bar, Montenegro. She is a career diplomat who joined Montenegrin foreign service in 2010 as a fellow of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Currently, she occupies the position of Director of Directorate for North and South America. From 2017 to 2020, Anđelka served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Montenegro to the United States of America. Previously, from 2013 to 2017, she was First Secretary/Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Montenegro to the United Nations Office in Geneva, covering human rights, political and humanitarian affairs, including Montenegrin first membership in the Human Rights Council 2013-2016. From 2010 to 2013, Anđelka worked as a junior diplomat at the Directorate for the United Nations and Other International Organizations. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Politology at the University of Zagreb and holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Montenegro. In 2009 she obtained two Bachelor’s Degrees from the University of Montenegro – in International Relations from the Faculty of Political Science, and Theoretical Mathematics from the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics. Anđelka is Alumna of the Summer School for Young Diplomats “Gavro Vuković” generation 2011.
