Alliance of Civilisations in the Multipolar World
The 17th Summer School for Young Diplomats “Gavro Vuković” was honoured to feature a truly inspiring address by the United Nations Under Secretary General and High Representative of the Alliance of Civilisations Miguel Angel Moratinos. Profound insights of former Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Spain left a lasting impact on all participants.
In his address, Mr. Moratinos emphasized the crucial role of diplomats and contemporary diplomacy in defending common interests in a multipolar world. He highlighted that, particularly in conflict situations, the role of diplomats remains indispensable and vital. Drawing from his extensive diplomatic experience, Mr. Moratinos captivated the young diplomats, encouraging them to navigate the complexities of international relations with unwavering confidence.
This year’s Montenegrin Summer School gathered 55 talented diplomats from 46 countries, standing as a powerful platform for fostering knowledge-sharing, building connections, and embracing the power of international cooperation. Through learning, sharing, and networking, these young diplomats are empowered to address shared challenges and make a positive impact on the world stage.
