ABA – Alumni Blog Award

Short summary: Blog award in diplomacy and international relations is an opportunity to share your thoughts, views and experience so that you can expand your network with professional peers. Get your chance to enrich and inspire global community of young diplomats and win the award.

Eligibility: Alumni of the Summer School for Young Diplomats “Gavro Vuković” .

Theme: Diplomacy for a cohesive and sustainable world.

Categories: You can write your blog in one of the following categories: Sustainable Development Goals, Global Security, Intercultural communication, Social Cohesion, European Union, NATO, Western Balkans or any other topic that you believe might contribute to a cohesive and sustainable world.

Length: Max 1600 words

Language: English

Guidelines:  

a) Have a clear understanding of your audience (global community of young diplomats and professionals engaged in the international affairs).

b) Blog should be founded on your personal touch, your opinions  and thoughts. Write your blog in order to express your point of view.

c) Use a title, introduction, body and conclusion.

d) Compelling titles and introductions make your readers want to read your blog right away.

e) Organise your body text to be easy to follow i.e. add subtitles, bullets, etc. Check facts and add sources where applicable.

f)  Add conclusion with a clear call to action.

g) Review your work before submitting.

Deadline: Until November 1, 2020 blog should be posted at the Discussion board at the web portal www.youngdiplomats.me. Make sure to have login details on time. For more information visit: https://youngdiplomats.me/forums/

Selection criteria: Jury composed of one representative from the each of the following: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, United Nations Development Programme in Montenegro, speakers, alumni from Montenegro and alumni from the rest of the world, will select the wining blog. Special criteria will be related to the the audience engagement measured by number of comments posted on your blog at the Discussion board, by alumni and speakers of the Summer School.

Award: Your blog will be posted at the www.youngdiplomats.me blog page and you will be awarded a 7 day visit to Montenegro with travel and accommodation expenses covered. The winner will be announced until December 1, 2020. We will be thrilled to see you participating and best of luck to the winner!
