Cooperation on the European path
Foreign ministers of Montenegro and Albania signed Memorandum of Understanding between diplomatic academies of the two countries on December 15, 2021 in Tirana.
Considering the friendly and cooperative relations between Montenegro and Albania, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania are guided by their common desire to strengthen and deepen collaboration in the area of diplomatic training.
The aim of this Memorandum of Understanding is to further strengthen cooperation and establish the framework through which diplomatic academies shall carry out activities predominantly related to diplomatic training under the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefits.
Exchanging invitations for diplomatic staff to participate in training programmes, exchanging invitations for relevant speakers for the training programmes, organizing joint training programmes of common interest are just some of the modalities of cooperation.
Reinforcing cooperation between two diplomatic academies and strengthening diplomatic capacities will further support both countries on their European path.
“To be a good neighbor for Montenegro is to be a friend, but at the same time to be a support in achieving the goals of the European agenda,” Minister Radulovic noted on this occasion, adding that as the country that has gone the furthest in the EU accession process, we are ready to provide expert, technical and any other kind of assistance.
